If you weren't doing the job you're currently doing, where would you be? What would you be doing? Do you have any dreams for yourself that never came to pass? Talk about it or don't!
Tough question.
If I didn’t have an impulsive job interview with H, during a case, then I would still be writing traffic tickets, and leaving cases for CSI’s to close. I’d probably still live in the small box of an apartment I lived in when I first moved to Miami.
There’s also the thought, that if H didn’t rehire me, then I would still be employed at that god awful shooting range, and living off of my credit cards.
Just thinking of the two theory’s makes me want to cringe in horror. For that reason alone, I have much respect for H. He gave me a chance to live up to my potential, and when I fell short, he still agreed to help me. I couldn’t have asked for a better boss.

Erica don’t get comfortable, because I would like to get my bed back eventually. It would be great if you could talk to your friends about staying with them. Get something sorted out before I get home. I’m worried about you, but I’m not going to just let you back into my life because the guy you left me for is a bastard. Sorry, I would rewrite this but I’m late. We need to talk once my shift’s over.

Ryan pushed himself harder. Breathing heavy, he quickened his pace and continued to jog back down towards his townhouse. Dawn was breaking as the young CSI approached his front lawn, but he was taken aback when he realized a figure was standing at his door step.

Ever have a bizarre, unexplainable case/client/situation on the job? Has anything ever just been too weird or uncomfortable for you? Talk about it!
Hand down, I’d say the most unexplainable, bizarre experience I’ve ever had while on the clock was the curse of the coffin. I thought it was a joke at first. I had a laugh when Delko refused to touch the evidence that was connected with Santeria. Although I have to admit, I thought the severed deer head in the closet was freaky, and the mysterious coffin that was laying beside the Vic was a little much.
I had no idea that day was going to get a hell of a lot worse. When I was walking towards the morgue to talk to Alexx. I swear saw something move out of my peripheral vision, and needless to say, I was scared shitless. I hesitated before turning around, and a body literally sat up, and gasped. I did what any real man would do. I ran.
Valera got a match from the epithelia’s found under the vic nails, and when I saw the picture of the man. I was in complete shock. You would never believe it, but it was the body from the morgue.
I had to tell Alexx. Something wasn’t right. She uncovered the body that I apparently saw sit up, and it was a completely different guy. I was convinced that I was cursed. I had to have been, because right after that, my hands went numb, and I couldn’t move them.
Turns out the man that was in the morgue, the zombie, tried to fake is own death. He used tetrodotoxin, or blowfish poison, to temporally cause muscle paralysis. When I touched the table, the poison was transferred onto my hands, and that caused the lack of movement in my hands.
That was just one example of what took place during that shift. It was probably the worst case for me. To this day, I’m convinced that I’m cursed because of that small Santeria coffin.

Ryan aimlessly stared at the crime scene photos on the table in front of him. He analysed the photos for what seemed like the thirty-sixth time that day. The case involved a seventeen year old Jane Doe that was discovered flooding onto the shores of Miami beach. The apparent C.O.D was asphyxia, and there were signs of a struggle because of the defensive wounds on her hands and forearms. She went down with a fight.
The new ME (who absolutely pissed Ryan off) gave him DNA, probably from her attacker, that were found under the victims fingernails. Ryan ran it through AFIS, but there were no hits. Barely any evidence was at the scene, and Ryan was beginning to run out of patience. The only option Ryan had was waiting until someone called in a missing person. Until then he was at a dead end.
Deciding to grab a cup of coffee, Ryan cleaned up, and rebagged the evidence before leaving the room. He needed a break, and once he had more caffeine in his system, he hoped that maybe he would see something that his drained eyes previously overlooked.
On his way to the break room, he stopped by ballistics, hoping to run into Calleigh.
Talk about the worst injury you've ever had on the job. Whether it be a physical or emotional blow... or both!
The worst injury I received while on duty was when I got shot in the eye by a nail gun. I wasn’t even suppose to be at the crime scene, it was Eric’s call, but I couldn't blamed him for it. It was my fault for going in without any back up, or without having my gun drawn.
Although having the nail in my eye it hurt like hell, the pain was a lot more tolerable then the problems I experienced after the accident. It could have caused me to lose my job if the feds found out, and It was a struggle to keep my frustration hidden, but I pulled it off.
